Just as I was closing my laptop at a quarter to one in the morning, my phone pinged with a text that read,
'Morning! Flew to Qingdao last night. In posh hotel having big breakfast. Going well. Lots to see. Amazing place. Lots of driving so seeing the country and cities. Fairly bleak but nice in parts. Wicked cold though! See you soon, J.'
So he is in another part of China, in another major trading port, having an experience of life that I haven't had! Can't wait to see the photos with the camera we bought him for his birthday...
